I have had some amazing opportunities since being on The Great British Bake Off, but still continued to work as a Builder in my family business. In 2019, I had a career change to work in an office job for the first time in my life. It was quite a lifestyle change but I really enjoy my new career. However, I’m lucky to keep a hand in with the building work through renovation our new home in the countryside. Through my baking work, I was proud to have had the chance to present a different side to the building trade and I worked regularly with the Federation of Master Builders (of which I was a member) to promote the positive aspects of a career in construction. I have been interviewed by building and homes publications including Professional Builder magazine and Ideal Home.
