I’ve been spoilt this Father’s Day, though I’ve spent most of it without my kids. We’ve been enjoying the sunshine all over the West Country this weekend. It’s such a beautiful part of the world.

Back home in the Big Smoke after a relaxing half term away. Last night’s events in London have been so upsetting, not just for Londoners but for our friends around the globe. This is the best city in the world. We’ve faced threats of terrorism my whole life, but life must go on and it’s important to appreciate every moment.

Just back from a wonderful weekend by the sea with this awesome gang. So grateful to the Bake Off experience for bringing friends like these into my life.

I’ve been earning some Dad and Uncle Brownie Points this week, with a little help from Wicked Uncle too. There’s also a super easy chocolate brownie recipe for you on the blog this week.

I love London Marathon day – massive congratulations to all my mates who ran today. It’s 12 years since I ran the London Marathon myself so today it’s time to put my money where my mouth is. Thankfully there’s a good few bakers up for it next year too.

It’s Mother’s Day next Sunday so this weekend I invented a cake based on my Mum, Mother-in-Law and Wife’s favourite dessert: tiramisu. Follow the recipe below to make the mum in your life know how appreciated she is.

Death by chocolate, dancing dogs and chainsaw fun on tonight’s blog. It was my birthday this week so I was on the receiving end of a cake for a change. I’ve been really spoilt by my family and also had a fab weekend lumberjacking thanks to the team at STIHL.

It’s no exaggeration to say that I had one of the best days of my life this week. Still pinching myself just thinking about it. And of course there was also cake this week (there’s always cake).

One of my favourite things about Valentine’s Day is after the purgatory of January, it gives you a bit of an excuse to indulge your sweet tooth. This week I’m sharing lots of Valentine’s bakes to make for someone special or even better, to treat yourself!
