What’s the collective noun for a group of Father Christmases / Santa Clauses / St Nicholases, as we met about 2,000 of them this morning?! A merriment perhaps? This week couldn’t have felt more festive if it tried!

Remembrance Sunday is always taken seriously in our house. A time to reflect on our own families’ histories and how much we have to be grateful for. It’s also been a week of catching-up with my awesome Bake Off buddies and travelling thousands of years back in time.

I’ve been working on my own house recently, which has given me the opportunity to spend much more time with the kids. This week our youngest was a bit poorly so it’s been a quiet week spent mostly on a sofa under a sleeping toddler – not all bad!

It’s three years ago today that my Great British Bake Off Final aired to an audience of 14 million viewers. I don’t think I’ll ever get my head around that. A good time to reflect on what’s changed since then. Such a lot of exciting opportunities and this week, my new building column launched too.

No blog from me last week as I was taking it easy after the London Zoo Stampede. Working my socks off at the moment so trying to make the most of the downtime when I can get it. Looking for an extra pair of hands too if you know someone who’ll fit the bill…

All change in our gaff this week as I’m starting on an exciting new house project. With the weather, the conkers and the back-to-school mayhem, autumn’s come with a bang!

Back today from the most incredible fortnight in Italy. Just in time for the new series of Bake Off too.

We’ve been camping in the beautiful grounds of Blenheim Palace this week, enjoying the Countryfile Live festival and having loads of outdoor fun. Absolutely exhausted now but it was totally worth it…
