Just back from a long, Halloweeny weekend in the countryside for half term. It’s been a great week including Candice’s well deserved Bake Off win.

A quick blog post tonight as I’m in the middle of another very exciting cake commission so have to get back to it. This week has been all about baking on the road.

It’s two years this week since I started blogging so to celebrate I’m sharing a fantastic egg-free chocolate cake recipe with you. I’ve spent all week baking and still have loads more to do for an event on Wednesday but currently stuffed full of trifle and lazing on the sofa.

I’ve had three weeks on the trot where I’ve been surrounded by my GBBO family. The Great British Bake Off has given a lot of happiness to millions of people, but to me it’s given me a wonderful bunch of friends too.
