My kitchen’s been like a cake factory this week. Not bad timing for the first week of The Great British Bake Off to start again.

We’re reluctantly back home today after a fantastic week campervanning through France. It seems I’ve got some incredible Team GB Olympic highlights to catch up on and I’m looking forward to the next series of Bake Off kicking off on Wednesday.

We’ve been westward-bound this week soaking up the beauty of the English countryside and catching up with Bake Off friends.

No blog from me last weekend as I was still partying at Jimmy’s Festival. We had a really fun few days in Suffolk before getting back to London for all things cake this weekend.

I’ve had a very busy week catching up with a lot of good friends. Hugely proud of Martha too, as she launched her first (of many I’m sure) recipe book, Twist.

All my baking this week has been school related so here’s a delicious and simple recipe for banana bread. It’s a great bake to make with kids and can be scaled up very easily too.

A perfect recipe for the summer, whether the sun decides it wants to make an appearance or not. Coconut, rum, pineapple, lime – I’m getting hungry again just thinking about it! And apparently next Sunday is Piña Colada Day, so great timing.

A quick blog from me tonight as it’s Father’s Day, so I want to get back to watching Netflix on the sofa with my feet up!

This year marks 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl. And today marks seven years since the birth of our eldest daughter. So this weekend we put the two together and had a good old fashioned knees up!

Back to Sunday night blogging after a fantastic week travelling on the canals of the Midlands for half term. The smell of freshly baked bread is somehow even better on a narrow boat!
